Report: Tom Harper (Lewes) - A Harry Harding penalty with just three minutes remaining helped Lewes FC pick up a vital win at Concord Rangers, and kept the Rooks play-off hopes alive going into next weekend's final game of the season. Simon Wormull made one change to the side which won 1-0 at Cray Wanderers in their previous match, with Malvin Kamara replacing Charlie Leach in the starting line-up. Lewes took the lead after just two minutes, when Nathan Crabb latched onto a lofted through-ball from Chris Breach and lifted the ball over Concord goalkeeper Nicky Eyre to get the Rooks off to the perfect start. If anything this goal galvanised the hosts though, and they nearly equalised soon after when a Tony Stokes header from a Karl Beckford cross went just wide. They came even closer to equalising minutes later, as a long free-kick in the Lewes penalty area ended with Steve King sending a header against the foot of the post. Hav! ing weathered this storm, Lewes almost doubled their lead after 25 minutes, when Chris Breach saw his close-range header from a Harry Harding free-kick deflected just over the crossbar. However, Concord did equalise after 31 minutes. She's a mix of orange Tabby and Mane coon, and is the runt of a litter of 4. Her previous owners were moving and needed to get rid of their 6 week old kittens (they CLAIMED that's how old they were) and their mom. I took the runt because I knew I could care for her and nurse her to health. Well after I got her I had this nagging f! eeling she was younger than they said, so I did some research on kitten's characteristics for different ages, and by her behavior (I had to look for behavior characteristics because her size couldn't come into play since she was the runt) she was only about 4 weeks old when I got her.....and to make matters worse, her owners said she was on kibble for two weeks. MATERNAL INSTINCTS ACTIVATED!!!! Oh my gosh I wanted to slap those people so badly! But I settled on a nice text to them (didn't mention the ...
