La serie sigue a un grupo de perfiladores criminales de esa unidad, encabezados en las dos primeras temporadas por Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) y en las restantes por Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson). Estos perfiladores se mueven por varias zonas de Estados Unidos (y ocasionalmente en otros países) para asesorar a las policías locales y capturar a criminales y asesinos en serie. Cada uno de los agentes de la unidad tiene personalidades diferentes que se complementan. Para la primera temporada, el equipo estaba compuesto por Gideon, Hotchner, Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), el joven doctor Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Noe! lle "Elle" Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), la portavoz del grupo Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook) y la hacker Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). En la segunda temporada, Greenaway es reemplazada por la agente Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster). Tras la renuncia de Patinkin a la serie en la tercera temporada,1 se introdujo el personaje de David Rossi (Joe Mantegna). En la cuarta temporada se introduce como personaje recurrente el personaje de Jordan Todd (Meta Golding) para sustituir a AJ Cook mientras estaba embarazada ...

On Sunday July 11, Toto headlined the last day of the 30th edition of the Bospop festival in Weert. This is the start of their set. I visited the Bospop festival for the first time this year, and I just might do it again in 2011. It's a very family oriented festival with an emphasis on classic rock. This was its first edition on a larger site than the previous 29 years. Some of the bands who played Bospop this year: Crosby Stills & Nash, Toto, John Fogerty, Status Quo, Saybia, Billy Idol, Heather Nova, Dweezil Zappa, The Cranberries, Anvil, Uriah Heep, Twisted Sister, Michael Schenker Group, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders and Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger of The Doors. The greatest headliner, however, was the World Cup final, which was broadcast at two large screens next to the main stage. Unfortunately we (the Dutch) lost, but Toto got us feeling good again after the match.
