Concert of My Favourite Waste of Time at Novanoïs music rehearsal center in Schaarbeek. My Favourite Waste of Time "MfWoT" were formed in Brussels in November 2005 when, tired of going to the same generic venues playing the same unoriginal music, the members decided to try and create something which the city sorely lacked: a passionate music scene comprising innovative music that energised and excited people. MfWoT's sound ranges from melodic powerpop incorporating catchy disco beats to alternative rock with powerful riffs and searing heart-felt vocals. Lyrics recall instances at parties, regrettable nights out and the inevitable fall-out from too many late nights, too much alcohol and too many failed romances. Grounded in the dynamic beat-driven rhythm section, the band draws on a diverse array of influences to produce a unique brand of melodic yet edgy rock music. Recent gigs have been played in front of audiences of 500-1000 people supporting bands such as Hooverphonic a! nd Afterhours. Their performances have become increasingly infamous for their interaction with the crowd and their determination to make a connection with the audience to create an unforgettable live experience.
